Phir vahi hum, vahi Lucknow (फिर वही हम, वही लखनऊ)

phir vahī ham vahī amīnābād

Inspired by the above couplet by Yagana Changezi, I wrote my own (below two) when our flight landed at the Lucknow Airport in Amausi. It’s about the feeling, when you’re about to reach home.

Num ankhe, par labon pe hasi,

Phir vahi hum, vahi Amausi.

नम आँखे, पर लबों पे हसी,

फिर वही हम, वही अमौसी ।

Manzil jab lucknow, to dil baag baag,

Phir vahi hum, vahi Charbagh.

मंज़िल जब लखनऊ, तो दिल बाग बाग,

फिर वही हम, वही चारबाग ।
